Tuition Affordability

We are deeply committed to ensuring that NYHS remains affordable and accessible to all Jewish families.  We will not let financial challenges stand in the way of any Jewish student receiving an exceptional NYHS education.  Our Promise of Jewish Affordability is a guarantee to support a vibrant Jewish future for the next generation.  Please note that applications for tuition affordability grant packages are considered separately from a student’s admission application, which means that all admissions decisions are made on a “need-blind” basis.

Two Different Tuition Affordability Packages Are Available:

We are thrilled to be able to offer two different tuition affordability options for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year.

1. Day School Affordability Initiative (DSA)

The Day School Affordability Initiative (DSA), sponsored by the Samis Foundation, provides funds to NYHS families whose income may be too high to qualify for a traditional scholarship, but for whom full tuition would represent a financial burden.  More specifically, this initiative is designed to assist families earning up to $350,000 but more than $175,000 annually.

2. Traditional Tuition Assessment Grant

Traditional Tuition Assessment grant packages are available to assist with the payment of tuition for families who qualify. This grant typically helps families earning less than $175,000 annually.  The Tuition Affordability Committee reviews applications to determine a family’s potential contribution toward the cost of tuition. When calculating a family’s tuition package, the Tuition Affordability Committee reviews all relevant tax returns and schedules, as well as the recommendation report generated with the Fast Application.
